Líneas de investigación
Mi investigación se centra en el análisis de la distribución de especies a múltiples escalas espaciales y temporales. Para esto, hago un amplio uso de bases de datos de especímenes de colecciones científicas o de observaciones en campo y laboratorio, las que combino con técnicas de modelado de nicho ecológico, sistemas de información geográfica y herramientas de percepción remota para tener una visión sintética (predictiva y descriptiva) acerca de por qué las especies están donde están. Actualmente desarrollo modelos predictivos para especies invasoras de importancia agrícola y forestal y colaboro en diversos proyectos de biología de la conservación y macroecología.
Me encanta trabajar en colaboración, porque encuentro que es la forma más productiva y fácil de aprender e investigar.
